Atlanta Westside parkway at golden hour

Our Story

A festival with a first name: community.

Harvest Fest at The McCray started with a conviction that the Westside already holds everything it needs — and a Saturday afternoon to prove it.

The beginning

One afternoon, built to last a generation

Harvest Fest at The McCray is an annual gathering on Atlanta's Westside — a celebration of the neighbors, growers, makers and businesses who make this side of the city what it is. It began with a simple question: what would it look like if a community threw a party for itself, and kept it?

The answer is a Saturday on Hollowell Parkway: local vendors on the block, fresh produce from nearby growers, live music from neighborhood talent, costume contests for grown folks and little ones, and a kid zone where the next generation can make something with their hands. No gatekeeping. No strangers for long.

This year is the first chapter. What we plant now is meant to be tended, season after season, by the community that shows up for it. The goal is not a one-time event. It is a tradition the Westside keeps.

01

Born on the Westside

Harvest Fest is anchored at The McCray, on Donald Lee Hollowell Parkway — a corridor with its own deep history, its own businesses, and its own rhythm. This festival belongs to the block it stands on.

02

Built by neighbors

The presenting partners are not a sponsor drop-in. They are community institutions — the McCray family and Billee Redd Hospitality — who opened their doors and their address to make this day possible.

03

Made to return

This is the first edition. Everything here — the vendors, the music, the stories — is the foundation a tradition is built on. Come back next year and find it grown.

Year-round

The festival is one day. The story is the whole year.
